CHILDREN’S WIGWAM :     (maximum 5½ feet inside height & 6 feet 9 inches base diameter).
The kit contains : 14x9 ft willow whips & 22x7 ft willow whips

ADAPTED Living Willow Kits for LARGER Structures

In our standard kits the main structural whips overlap and are woven together. The maximum whip lengths we can send is 9 ft and this restricts the size of the structures that can be made. Due to customer demand we now offer the following adapted kits which contain some longer plus some extra whips to allow ‘bigger’ ie taller and/or wider Tunnels and Domes to be made. The main structural whips do not need to overlap because they are held together by the extra whips which are tied in to hold the shape of the structure until new growth on the rooted whips can be woven in to take their place - with average growth this should be by early July.

ADAPTED DOME/CHILDREN’S PLAYHOUSE/BOWER (eg for over a seat)
(up to a maximum 6 feet 6 inch inside height & 7 feet base diameter)
The kit contains : 24 x 9 ft willow whips and 19 x 7 ft willow whips.

Bundles of 3 to 5 ft lengths of ‘Dead’ Willow ** :- Salix Viminalis “Bowles Hybrid”   
Suitable for ‘rough’ weaving, say, around living structures, borders etc (not a variety considered to be basket weaving quality) or, as they are fresh cut, for small living willow sculptures etc (in season) . (Please let us know if you plan to plant them so we can send you the freshest cut material).
Bundles are approx 8 inches in diameter at base.

 **  Please note that this willow will dry out and if it is to be used for weaving from late April onwards it will need soaking           before it is pliable again. Full instructions will be provided.

Carriage Charges

All of these kits and bundles have to be sent by a specialist carrier
because of their length so we must ADD £19 PER ORDER to cover
this cost to UK mainland (excluding parts of the Scottish Highlands)

We can arrange delivery to the Scottish Highlands and Islands,
Northern Ireland etc too but the carriage charge will be higher, also,
slightly higher charges now apply to the Isle of Wight.
